I received my new photography buddy, Nikky, from my Dad last Tuesday night! I was really excited to try it, took a few pictures and then I realized that I have to read the manual first! Learning how to use a DSLR is not how I expected it to be. It’s a bit hard but hey, I’m really enjoying! I’ll start reading tutorials and tips over the Internet so I could utilize Nikky’s capabilities.
Nikky and I had our very first wedding shoot last Wednesday. It was Ate Maita and Kuya Alan’s wedding. Nikky was only a day old and I’m still not much used to his controls and modes, but we had so much fun together! A photographer, who covers the event, gave me some tips since he is also using a Nikon D80. He is very friendly and even asked me to join their photography group. He told me that I can attend their photography seminars and join photography contests which are held every first Monday of the month. He gave me a calling card and told me to text him if I’m interested.
So again, this is my new photography buddy, Nikky!
Salamat kay Daddy!

Six hours from now, after several years, I’ll finally be able to see him again. My Dad manages a Filipino restaurant in Japan and he’s been working there for so many years. He and Mom have been legally separated for eighteen years now and I’m happy to say that they are friends. I just don’t know if Dad is trying to win Mom’s heart again. [Haha!]
The reason why he’ll be staying here in the Philippines for a week is because my cousin, Ate Maita, will appear before the altar in Wednesday. Dad will be the ninong and Mom the ninang. I think the wedding itself deserves another blog entry.
Hours from now, we’ll be going to the airport and will be eating at Dampa, I think.
